How to delete your Kamaru account
Learn how to permanently delete your Kamaru account and all associated data from the app.
If you decide you no longer want to use Kamaru, you can permanently delete your account directly from the app. This guide walks you through the process.
How to delete your account
Step 1: Open the Kamaru app
Launch the Kamaru app on your device and make sure you’re logged in to the account you want to delete.
Step 2: Go to Profile → Account Settings
Tap on your profile avatar in the top-right corner of the screen, then tap Account Settings.
Step 3: Tap “Delete Account”
You’ll see two options: Sign Out and Delete Account. Tap Delete Account.
Step 4: Enter your reason
You’ll be asked why you want to delete your account. This feedback helps us improve Kamaru. Enter your reason in the text field (required).
Step 5: Confirm deletion
Tap the Delete Account button. Your account will be scheduled for deletion and you’ll be signed out immediately.
Alternative: Request via email
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:
- Send us an email
- Subject: “Account Deletion Request - Kamaru”
- Include the email address associated with your account
- We will process your request within 7 business days
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your profile information
- All properties and rooms you created
- Tenant records
- Payment history
- Uploaded photos (tenant photos, ID photos)
Important notes
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once deleted, there is no way to recover your data.
Before deleting your account:
- Export any data you need — Make sure to save or screenshot any important information before deleting
- Consider active leases — If you have tenants with active leases, consider ending them or transferring the data first
